Chris Parker ( M.B.I.E., M.B.I.F.D., Dip FD), (Director)Joined the company on leaving school in 1963. Attained the National Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1976 becoming a fully qualified and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors and qualified as an Embalmer in 1978 and is a member of the British Institute of Embalmers. He took over as head of the firm when his father retired in 1987 and is a Director along with his wife Barbara. In 2004 he joined Kenyons International Disaster Management Team and in 2005 spent three weeks in Phuket helping with the aftermath of the Boxing Day Tsunami. |
Barbara Parker (Director)Joined the company in 1983 and is based in the office looking after all aspects of administration for the company, payroll and accounts. Barbara is also able to help every family in making funeral arrangements when the Funeral Directors are unavailable. |
John Wild (M.B.I.E., L.M.B.I.F.D., Dip FD.) (Manager)Joined the company in 1985 and attained the National Diploma in Funeral Directing in 1988 becoming a fully qualified and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. John qualified as an Embalmer in 1992 and is a member of the British Institute of Embalmers. A past president of Manchester & District National Association of Funeral Directors and current treasurer of the West Pennine British Institute of Funeral Directors. |
Craig Turner (L.M.B.I.F.D., Dip FD.) (Funeral Director)Joined the company in 1998 and attained the National Diploma of Funeral Directors in 2000 becoming a fully qualified and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. Craig uses his experience as a Funeral Director to hold presentations within the community, highlighting the roles and work involved within the profession to improve communication and understanding of other people that deal with the bereaved. Craig is also the treasurer of the Manchester & District National Association of Funeral Directors. |
Daniel Phillipstone (L.M.B.I.F.D., Dip FD) (Funeral Director)Joined the company in 2001 and attained the National Diploma of Funeral Directors in 2008 becoming fully qualified and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. He presently looks after our sister company George Hill Funeral Directors based in Hazel Grove. Dan is the Secretary of the Manchester & District National Association of Funeral Directors. |
Sarah Parker (L.M.B.I.F.D., Dip FD) (Funeral Director)Joined the company in 2004 and is the 5th generation of the Alcock's family. Sarah attained the National Diploma of Funeral Directors in 2007 becoming a fully qualified and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. Sarah will be commencing the National Association of Funeral Directors Diploma in Funeral Service Management. |
Scott Atkins (M.B.I.E.) (Funeral Operative and Embalmer)Joined the company in 1988 when he was employed as a Funeral Operative. He qualified as an Embalmer in 2001 and became a member of the British Institute of Embalmers in 2001. In 2004, Scott also became a member of Kenyon's International Disaster Management Team. |
Jimmy Love (Funeral Operative)Joined the company in 2005 and has progressed and gained experience in all areas of funeral care. His other duties include stock control and he is also a First Aider. Jimmy attained the National Diploma of Funeral Directors in 2011 becoming a fully qualfied and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. |
Ryan Guerin (Funeral Operative)Joined the company in 2006 and has progressed and gained experience in all areas of funeral care. He represents the Funeral Operatives with regards to Health and Safety, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and advising of any potential risks or hazards within the working areas. Ryan attained the National Diploma of Funeral Directors in 2011 becoming a fully qualfied and licenced member of the British Institute of Funeral Directors. |
